Demand for Bike Facilities

According to bikesbelong.org, 47% of Americans say they would like more bike facilities in their communities.

More bike facilities can increase the number of cyclist in a city but usually the number of cyclist have to increase before we see more bike facilities emerge.

A couple of ways that you can help:

Email the Mayor and discuss how important bicycles are to our city. Remind him that bicycles make us healthier, our city greener and how it saves money allowing us to spend more with local businesses. Don't forget to thank him for the great job that he is already doing.

The most important thing that you can do is to simply go ride your bike. Ride for fun, ride to work, ride to the grocery store or park. Just ride and enjoy it. Riding your bike sets an example for others to follow and it inspires them to get their bike out and ride.
