Copenhagen: Model City for Cycling

Fantastic film created by Clarence Eckerson at streetfilms.org showcasing the worlds most bike friendly city.  People riding in normal clothes, kids riding with their parents, infrastructure and facilities that make biking safer.  Cycling is an integrated part of life there. It's absolutely amazing.

Bike Lanes - Northwest Boulevard

Be sure to check out the new bike lanes on W. Northwest Boulevard that run from Hawthorne to Reynolda.  These lanes are to encourage bicycle trips to work, school, shopping and recreation.

This entire section of road has been resurfaced and the road has been re-striped to include bike lanes that are nestled between the car lane and parking spaces.  Remember, when riding past parked cars, watch for opening car doors.

Travel down Northwest Boulevard coming from Hawthorne and turn left on Reynolda. Continue on Reynolda and you'll find more bike lanes to enjoy.
